How a board gets made
Text version: Spec to netlist to placement to route to pour
A board specification in Python becomes a netlist, a placement and a routed board. A set of checks then runs against it. Any failure sends the board back to placement.

What it’s built with.
- KiCadOpen-source circuit board design software. We design every board in code, check it in KiCad and send it to the factory.
- PythonOur board layouts, and the checks that run on them, are written in Python.
- MermaidDiagrams and charts described in text. We draw ours in 3D so you can turn them; the live pieces on these pages are built this way.
- WebGLHow a web page draws 3D on the graphics card. Our charts and diagrams use it, each with a text version.
