Privacy Policy

How we handle your information.

Short, honest defaults. If a section here doesn't reflect what we actually do, that's a bug — email [email protected] and we'll fix it.

Who we are

Squatch.CC LLC ("Squatch CC," "we," "us") is a software and app studio headquartered in Springfield, Missouri, United States. Contact: [email protected].

What we collect

We only collect information you give us directly, and only what we need to respond to you:

  • From the "Let's talk" form: your name, email, a short description of what you're building, and optionally a timeline, budget range, mobile number, and whether you opted in to receive text messages.
  • From email: whatever you send to [email protected] (or a related address). It lands in our inbox. The “Let’s talk” form does the same thing: since 21 September 2026 it composes a message in your own email client rather than posting to a server, so nothing you type there reaches us until you press send in your own mail app.

This site does not run ad-tech, fingerprinting, or session-replay, and it sets no analytics cookie. To see what is working and fix what breaks, we count visits in aggregate: for each page load our server notes the page, the country the connection comes from, whether it is a phone, tablet or computer, and the name of the website that linked here, if one did. We also use Cloudflare Web Analytics, a cookieless counter of page views and page speed. If a script on this site breaks, your browser sends us the kind of error, the file and the line number, never the error's message or anything you typed. None of this records your IP address, an identifier, or anything that recognises you from one visit to the next, and nothing is stored in your browser.

How we use it

  • To reply to your note or confirm your call.
  • To send you receipts or short service updates only if you have texted us (see the SMS section below).

We do not add you to any marketing list. We do not send drip campaigns.

SMS / text messages

We send text messages only to people who text us first. Our toll-free customer-care number is +1 888-344-3607, and Hearth Help, for our home hub, is +1 877-853-1986. By texting either you agree to receive replies from Squatch Stack about your message, order, project or Hearth system, in that conversation only; we never add you to a marketing list. We send replies, and order and project updates you ask about. Message frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any message to unsubscribe, HELP for help. Texts reach us by email through our own relay. The full program disclosure lives at /messaging.

We do not share, sell, or rent your mobile number, or the fact that you consented to receive SMS from us, to any third party for marketing purposes. Mobile numbers you text from are transmitted only to Twilio, our messaging provider, strictly to deliver the replies you asked for. Twilio's role is a data processor under our instructions.

Opting out of SMS (by replying STOP or by emailing us) does not affect the rest of the conversation — we can still reach you by email if you want us to.

Our other sites and services

This policy also covers the Squatch Stack sites that do not have their own: sightings.squatch.cc, rig.squatch.cc, tuner.squatch.cc and daoyeren.com. Two services have their own pages, which say the same things in more detail: the store at store.squatch.cc/privacy and the assistant server at mcp.squatch.cc/privacy.

  • Sightings runs no script and stores nothing in your browser. Page loads on its pages outside the game (the front page, the goods, the logbook and the like) are counted in aggregate, the same way as on this site. The riddle trail and the editions are never counted: what you type there, right or wrong, is not recorded anywhere, and we cannot tell who finished.
  • The rig, the tuner and daoyeren.com are plain pages. They count nothing beyond our host’s standard request logs.
  • Orders from the store at store.squatch.cc are taken by Squatch.cc LLC, which is the seller. The payment page is run by our checkout provider, which holds your card and contact details under its own privacy policy; we never see your card number. When an order is placed, our sightings service keeps the order’s id and number, the date, the items and the sighting number it gives the order. It does not keep your name, email address or postal address. We do not send edition emails today; if we start, they will go only to buyers who ticked the box to hear from us at checkout, and this page will say so first.
  • Sighting pages and QR codes. A sighting page shows the month and the items, never who or where, and its address holds a word code only the buyer’s email carries. A QR code on a card goes through hooks.squatch.cc, which adds one to that code’s count for the day. No IP address or device detail is kept.

The search box (press / or Ctrl/⌘+K) runs entirely in your browser, over one list of our pages that comes from this site. What you type is never sent to us or to anyone else, and nothing is stored in your browser. When you finish a search we count two things, in aggregate and without any identifier: that a search happened, and whether it found nothing. We do not record the words you typed.

The chat button is gone. This site no longer offers a chat. Chats started before it was removed are deleted six months after they began; to have one removed sooner, email [email protected]. The questions that were typed into the old help box are kept as counts with no identifier and are deleted after six months as well.

Who we share information with

  • Twilio — only when you text us, and only to deliver the replies you asked for.
  • Cloudflare — hosts this site. Standard request logs, and the aggregate, cookieless visit counts described above.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with advertising networks. We do not share it with data brokers.

Protected Health Information (PHI)

Some of our work touches healthcare. This public site is not a channel for PHI. Please don't send diagnoses, medications, treatment details, or other clinical information through the "Let's talk" form, email, or SMS. If a project needs PHI, we'll set up an appropriate channel (BAA, encrypted intake) as part of the engagement — never through the marketing site.

Cookies

This site does not set analytics, marketing, or tracking cookies, and it embeds no third-party widget that could. The booking calendar that used to sit on Let's talk — and the only cookie this page ever described — was removed on 21 September 2026. The visit counting described above stores nothing in your browser.

How long we keep it

Intake records and correspondence are kept as long as our working relationship (or possible relationship) with you is active, plus a reasonable tail for accounting and legal records. Email us and we will delete what we can; some records tied to executed engagements may need to be retained to meet legal or accounting obligations, and we'll tell you which.

Your choices

  • Ask for a copy of what we hold about you — email [email protected].
  • Ask us to correct or delete it — same address.
  • Unsubscribe from SMS — reply STOP to any message or email us.

Children

This site and our SMS program are directed to adults acting on behalf of themselves or a business. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes

If we materially change this policy, we'll bump the date at the bottom and — where we can — flag the change on the home page. Small clarifications may happen without notice.
