Apps

Squatch Provision.

A web page that puts a new device on your Wi-Fi.

Three setup steps on a dark screen: find your board, unlock a secure session, choose a Wi-Fi network

What it does

Open it in Chrome, pick your network, and the board joins, over Bluetooth.

Who it’s for

Anyone setting up a gadget, and anyone selling one.

Why we built it

Installing an app just to set up a gadget is a bad start.

What we’re proud of

The password goes to the board and nowhere else.

Technologies used

What it’s built with.

Web BluetoothLets a web page talk to a device over Bluetooth, so setting a gadget up needs no app.
ESP32A tiny Wi-Fi and Bluetooth chip found in all sorts of gadgets. Squatch Provision puts one on your network.
